Originally from Hanover, PA, I attended college at West Chester University in West Chester, PA. After receiving my undergraduate degree in Communications at West Chester, I attended Pace University School of Law in White Plains, NY. While in law school I competed on the law school’s trial team and interned with two District Attorney’s Offices: The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office in Yonkers, NY and the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office in Harrisburg, PA. After law school I moved to Charlotte, NC.
After passing the North Carolina Bar, I joined the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office. Mecklenburg County is the largest county in the state in terms of population. There are close to one million residents living in the county. The county seat is Charlotte, NC, the 17th largest city in the country. The DA’s office is also the largest in the state consisting of approximately 85 ADAs. While working for the Mecklenburg County DA’s Office I received numerous promotions. Starting out in District Court handling Misdemeanor trials. The majority of the bench trials I conducted were DWI trials. Along with Misdemeanors, I also handled traffic court. After only a few months I was promoted to the Drug Team responsible for prosecuting numerous jury trials for drug offenses. After a little over a year on the Drug Team, I was promoted to the Persons Team responsible for prosecuting crimes such as Robbery, Felony Assaults, Gun charges, Attempted Murder, and Rape.
After 6 plus years, I decided to return to Pennsylvania and relocated to the Lehigh Valley. I continued working as a prosecutor for the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. I was assigned to the President Judge’s courtroom and also was an intern supervisor. While in Chester County I handled cases such as Homicide, Assaults, DUIs, and Thefts.
